SWEDISH SSAB WANTS TO ACQUIRE DUTCH DIVISION OF TATA STEEL

The possibly new owner of Tata Steel in IJmuiden has big plans for the production of fossil-free steel.

This might be good news for ambitions on sustainability for Tata Steel IJmuiden and The Netherlands. SSAB is known for opening the very first pilot plant in the world to produce fossil-free steel on 31 August. The Swedish state is also a major shareholder of SSAB, just like the Finnish state.
